Terms of Use

Last updated 27 October 2026

The short version

Dosia helps you remember and record your medicines.

It is not medical advice and not a medical device. Your doctor, nurse or pharmacist decides how you take your medicines, never Dosia.

Reminders can fail, because phones fail.

Don't rely on Dosia as your only reminder for a medicine where a missed dose could seriously harm you.

Dosia has a free trial, then a subscription billed by Apple or Google.

Cancel any time in your store settings.

Your records are yours.

You can export or delete them any time, even without a subscription.

How we handle your information is in our Privacy Policy.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and The Crafted Code Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (number 14639993), which makes Dosia. They cover the Dosia app, its widgets, Live Activities and notifications, and dosia.app.

If you downloaded Dosia from the App Store, your licence to use it also comes from Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement; if from Google Play, from Google Play's terms. These terms add to those. If they conflict, these terms apply as far as the law allows.

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Dosia.

2. Who can use Dosia

You must be 18 or over to create an account. You may use Dosia to look after someone else, including a child, only as section 5 describes.

3. What Dosia is, and isn't

Intended purpose. Dosia is a reminder and record-keeping app. It helps you keep track of medicines and supplements a healthcare professional has prescribed or recommended, or that you've chosen yourself, remember when to take them, and record how you feel, so you can share an accurate history with the people who look after your health.

Not medical advice or a medical device. Dosia doesn't diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, check whether medicines are safe together, or calculate doses. Insights, patterns and AI answers describe what was recorded. They show things that happened together, not what caused them. Never start, stop or change a medicine, its dose or its timing because of something Dosia shows or says. Ask your doctor, nurse or pharmacist.

Schedules come from you. Dosia arranges reminder times from what you enter: the times, food rules and spacing your prescription or professional gives. Check every schedule against your prescription and the medicine's leaflet. If they differ, follow the prescription.

Scanning can misread. Reading a label, by your phone or by AI, can get a name, strength or instruction wrong. Always check what Dosia read before you save it.

Reminders can fail. Notifications depend on your phone, its settings, battery saving, the network and the operating system. We work hard to make them reliable, but we can't promise every reminder arrives. For a medicine where a missed or extra dose could be dangerous, keep another reminder too.

In an emergency, call 999 in the UK (or your local emergency number). Dosia doesn't contact emergency services or anyone else for you.

4. Your account

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, a passkey, or Apple or Google. Keep access to your email and devices secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in. An account is for one person; to look after others, use care profiles. Tell us at hello@thecraftedcode.com if you think someone else has used your account.

5. Care profiles

You can keep medicines and records for someone you look after, and invite people to help look after you.

  • When you create a profile for someone else, you confirm that you have their permission, or the legal authority to act for them (for example, as a parent, or under a health and welfare power of attorney or deputyship), to record their health information in Dosia. You're responsible for that being true.
  • Everyone in a care profile can see and log that person's records. Only invite people you trust.
  • A person you invite can take over their own profile, and either of you can end the link at any time.
  • If your subscription ends, care profiles become read-only. They're never deleted unless you delete them or your account.

6. Subscription and free trial

Dosia Premium unlocks the full app after a free trial. Prices for your country are shown in the app and on the store before you buy.

  • Free trial. New subscribers get a 14-day free trial; the store decides eligibility (usually one trial per Apple or Google account). Dosia reminds you 2 days before it ends if notifications are on. Cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid being charged.
  • Billing. Apple or Google charges your store account, not us. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same length and price until you cancel, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • Cancelling. In iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Deleting Dosia or your account doesn't cancel it. You keep access until the period you've paid for ends.
  • Price changes. The store tells you first and, where required, asks you to agree. If you don't, the subscription ends at the end of the current period.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google under their policies. Your statutory rights aren't affected.
  • When there's no active subscription after the trial, Dosia locks its features, but you can always restore a purchase, export your records, delete your account, and sign out. Your records are never held back from you.
  • Your right to cancel (UK and EU). You have 14 days from buying a subscription to change your mind and get a refund. Because Apple or Google took the payment, ask them: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. If you've already used Dosia during those 14 days, the store may keep a fair part of the price for the days you used. Starting a free trial costs nothing, and you can cancel it at any time before it ends.

7. Using Dosia fairly

You agree not to copy, modify, resell or redistribute Dosia, or try to get its source code (except where the law allows); get around the subscription, the free-scan limits or security; overload or interfere with the service, or use automated tools on it; use Dosia to break the law, or to record someone's health information without the permission or authority section 5 requires. We may suspend or close an account that does these things, and we'll tell you why unless the law stops us.

8. What's yours and what's ours

Your records are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Dosia for you and the people you share with, as our Privacy Policy describes. That permission ends when you delete them.

The Dosia name, logo, design, text and software belong to The Crafted Code Ltd. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

9. Other companies' services

Dosia relies on Apple, Google and the providers listed in our Privacy Policy. Their own terms govern their services, and we aren't responsible for how they work. Apple and Google sign-in, and payments, are between you and them.

10. Changes, and if Dosia ends

We improve Dosia over time, so features may change. We won't take away a paid feature without a good reason, such as a legal, security or app store change. We'll tell you in the app about significant changes to these terms before they take effect; if you don't agree, you can stop using Dosia and cancel.

We may transfer these terms to another company, for example if Dosia moves to its own company. Your rights won't be reduced, and we'll tell you first.

If we ever close Dosia, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice, and you'll be able to export your records before it closes.

11. Our responsibility to you

We provide Dosia with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, it's provided "as is", without a promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

We aren't responsible for:

  • decisions about your health made because of something Dosia showed or didn't show, including a reminder that didn't arrive;
  • losses we couldn't reasonably foresee, or that are caused by events outside our control;
  • business losses. Dosia is for personal use.

Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid for Dosia in the 12 months before the claim and £50.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, and it doesn't affect your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

12. Apple and Google

If you got Dosia from the App Store:

  • These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Dosia and its content.
  • Your licence is non-transferable and limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules allow.
  • Apple has no duty to provide maintenance or support for Dosia.
  • If Dosia fails to meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for Dosia.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for any claim about Dosia, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection, privacy, and intellectual property claims.
  • You confirm you're not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting", and not on a US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must follow any third-party terms that apply when you use Dosia, such as your mobile carrier's.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

If you got Dosia from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply, and Google isn't responsible for Dosia.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. If you live in the European Union or anywhere else, you keep every protection your local consumer law gives you, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live. Please email us first so we can try to fix the problem.

If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
